A little A-Z Reflection

Like most experiences in life, A-Z is what you make of it. For me, the goal was to enjoy meeting new bloggers and to take the opportunity to focus on a topic I love. Mission accomplished.

I enjoyed hopping around to new blogs. I’m not sure how many I visited--I used the “surprise me” button and let it take me where it would. The variety of blogs impressed me, and I was inundated with new ideas, topics, and ways of thinking/blogging.

For me, blogging everyday was too much. I’m not ashamed to admit that it overpowered me at the end, and I didn’t technically finish the challenge. I say technically, because I still feel successful. For those of you posted for every letter--congrats! It is really a feat.

I am excited to continue following all the new bloggers I met--to see what their blogging worlds look like with things back to ‘normal’. I am also eager to return to my three posts a week--giving me more time to work on writing, editing and reading.

Thank you to the team over at A-Z. I appreciate all your effort and hard work to make the challenge a success!

Hey, Heidi,

You were only short by five... You did great! Believe me by the tie V came around I was almost ready to say HELP! But I am a determine bull and finished.

I was tough, but I had a great time. It's nice to drop by your blog. I didn't get around to so many, but at least reflections is one that I might be able to visit everyone.

It's definitely nice to get back to normal! I am ready to get back to my "real" writing, and now I am taking a few minutes to go back to blogs I found and followed through the challenge, and actually take a few minutes to read about who the bloggers are and what they do. Look forward to your future posts.

I enjoyed all of your posts, and you picked up a bunch of new followers. (including me) I'd say that makes your participation in the A-Z challenge a huge success. I hope to give it a whirl next year.

It is difficult to post every day! I usually post 3-4 times a week, but I did it last year, so knew I could do it again.
Glad you enjoyed it and made new friends.

Yes, I will be glad to get back to 3 posts a week. Right now, I just want to take the whole week off and just work on my book!

See you in blog land soon!

I'm returning to 2 (at most 3) posts a week. That was a lot! Nice meeting you during the reflections.

Totally agree, getting as far as you did was a huge accomplishment, and it was very, very hardgoing wasn't it? Maybe next year I'll just post a photo every day!

There's an award for you over at my blog.
Here it is!

Congrats to you on giving it your all :) Thanks for a lovely and honest reflections post too.

I agree with you that meeting so many new blogging friends and discovering ways in which to improve my own writing (experiences) was the best part of the challenge :)

So nice to meet you as I make my way down the reflections list :)

Cheers :)

I'm looking forward to fewer posts as well! My WIP was neglected throughout the month; at least I'll be able to look at it with a fresh eye.

Congrats on finishing the challenge!

Congrats! It was definitely a challenge wasn't it? But so much fun. I too got caught up in life towards the end and had to combine a few letters just so I got them all done. It was definitely amazing meeting so many new people. I only wish I could have got around to everyone more. There were just too many!

How wonderful to view success in terms other than what society would dictate. That inspires me.

It most certainly was a challenge. I too am thrilled to be back to 3 posts a week, editing and real writing. I am happy to meet and follow you; better late than never, right?
I am going to go read some of your work:)

I know it's tough to make that post everyday and visit blogs on top of that, but I'll still say you're a winner in the A to Z. You did what you could and you got something positive out of it. After all that's what it's really about. That "Surprise Me" button was too much fun!
Thanks for being with us and contributing your Reflections.

Just got to your blog through the A to Z reflection post. (Can't think how I missed it before.) I'll have to go through all your posts about Ancient Rome, that's always been an interest of mine. Nice to meet you and I'll be back!

Hey Heidi!
I'm in Longmont! Practically neighbors ;-) I learned so much and met such wonderful people and bloggers through this challenge. Shannon @ The Warrior Muse and I are joining forces in another challenge. We're going to visit and comment at each of the participants, starting with the reflections post. We hope you'll join us!
